Our Story
We are Lamar and Terri. In 2020, after purchasing Babbling Brook Cottages in Dingmans Ferry, we created a guidebook to the area for our guests. This guidebook includes restaurants, shops, trails, waterfalls, historical sights and experiences around Dingmans Ferry. Our guests requested a printed map to go along with the guidebook. We started a second business, Pocono Maps. We hired an illustrator and graphic designer, took 100’s of photos of local businesses and landmarks, and got to work.
Printing Info
The map has two editions per year. Summer/Fall and Winter/Spring. Over 45,000 copies of the map are printed each year. We deliver the maps personally to your business for distribution to customers and business visitors. There are over 100 locations the maps are available including all of the paid advertiser locations, plus Pocono Mountain Visitors Bureau visitors' centers in Milford, Hawley, Honesdale, Stroudsburg, and Jim Thorpe. Pennsylvania Visitors Centers in Delaware Water Gap and Matamoras. The map is also available at hotels, motels, vacation rental properties, residential community offices, and “Friends of the Map” that are not paid advertisers but want to support the area and its local businesses. We encourage everyone to distribute them as much as possible for the paid advertisers benefit. Put them in your customers bags and display them prominently in your business. You are not limited to a # of maps to distribute. The more you hand out - the more visibility it provides to the area and all of its businesses.
What is the map?
The map is an illustrated map of Milford and its surrounding areas that sells advertising space. It is a business. The map is not a member organization or nonprofit organization. It is not a franchise. We are the only “employees”. We do not have other maps. Advertising space options are 1) Business Name and Illustrated Building; 2) Name, Building, and Single Ad Space; 3) Name, Building, and Double Ad Space. The ads “rotate” each edition - you are never in the same spot.

Website - ExperienceMilfordPA.com is our website that we 100% maintain in house with direct links to your business that you provide, your printed map location, and physical address. Your listing is included in your map cost as a paid advertiser. Facebook page - Experience Milford Pennsylvania, is a business page, not a group. We 100% maintain this in house. We showcase unique activities, events, and businesses that are paid advertisers of the map and are within our map area. We share paid advertisers posts onto stories and the page. This is offered as a courtesy and there is no additional cost to the paid advertiser. Our goal is to grow YOUR business page followers by sharing YOUR content.
